Mud Runs and Obstacle Races

Mud runs and obstacle races have recently gained a lot of popularity, and one of the great things about this sport is that it is already widely accepting of shirtless competitors. Competing shirtless is a lot more comfortable, it makes you feel more attuned to your own body, helps you push yourself harder, and it is a great confidence booster. These events are also a great full-body exercise and a lot of fun! Shorts or compression shorts and a good set of running shoes will generally suffice. In addition to being a lot of fun, training for one of these events can be a great motivation to push yourself and get in shape!

Some popular ones to check out include Tough Mudder, Spartan Race, and Warrior Dash. Tough Mudder and Spartan both have training tips on their websites. So why not pick an event that looks interesting and get training? It’s a great way to build up your body and your confidence.

Looks like fun, right? So take up the challenge!

Awesome Pictures

Over time I have had a number of pictures submitted for the blog that haven’t really fit any particular topic I’ve written about (nor are they likely to), but they are somehow too awesome to let them fall by the wayside. So I’m doing a bit of fun post just to highlight some of the cool pictures I’ve received. Hats off to the guys in the pics, and have fun!

Nice moves! Very cool.

Totally looks like these guys are flying, sweet!

 The bird whisperer.

 Love the cape!

That takes strength and skill.

Way to improvise and get that workout in!

Gotta love it, this guys is so buff he doesn’t need to stand behind the cutout with the fake muscles, he’s got his own!
