Shirtless Halloween Costume Submissions

Well, I only got a few submissions from Halloween, but here they are, as late as it is. Obviously, the movie 300 was popular this year.

  1. It takes a very special kind of man to go shirtless on halloween. I am not one of them but I really would like to have the qualities required for the task.

I think going shirtless is one of the priviledges we have as men, but my excess weight makes me think twice about taking off my shirt.

I really like your blog, please keep writing

  2. I don't see where this blog is getting a lot of recent activity. I hope this subject is something that is still of concern and interest. I believe the most significant thing that can be done to retain or return the relative acceptability of going without a shirt is to simply do it. The more it isn't done the more it will be seen as something that just isn't done. So, I think it needs to be done, and maybe it also needs to be talked about to encourage others. I'm really tired of getting yelled at for running down the road without a shirt, but I'll pay that price, if it's only going to get worse if I don't and I fear that it will if I don't. Of course being a summer weekend, I haven't worn a shirt since yesterday and I don't when I can avoid it. And, I'm in my later 40's, which I gather makes it a bit more uncommon.

In summary, and if I may, let's keep this effort up, let's get rid of the shirts and let's talk about it and encourage others to follow. How many of us would it take to make a difference? Referring to what is apparently the latest, but seemingly rather old entry here, while I'm kind of beyond Halloween costumes entirely, I'm otherwise in, count on it. Anyone else?

  6. Chippendale boy reminds me so much of myself when I was his age. I pretty much went to every fancy dress party in a shirtless costume. But age and middle-aged spread puts an end to those wonderful days. Make the most of it, kids!
